Description
36kWh of storage. Built around your home.
A 36kWh GoodWe ESA installed battery system gives you 35.40kWh of usable storage from 4 modular LiFePO₄ batteries. Choose the hybrid inverter that matches your supply and energy needs.

Make your solar work beyond daylight
Four 9kWh modules provide 36kWh of nominal storage for homes planning around higher evening energy use. Choose the inverter separately to match your supply, solar design and connected loads.
Keep solar for later
Store surplus daytime generation and use that energy when your home needs it, including through the evening.
Choose the power you need
Pair your battery capacity with an ESA inverter suited to the property’s supply phase, solar array and electrical loads.
See your energy clearly
GoodWe monitoring brings solar generation, battery activity and household energy flows together so you can understand how your system is working.

Your battery capacity, with inverter choice
Each GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 module adds 9kWh nominal and 8.85kWh usable energy. Choose from the five system capacities below.
| Battery modules | Nominal energy | Usable energy | Explore capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 × 9kWh | 18kWh | 17.70kWh | 18kWh system |
| 3 × 9kWh | 27kWh | 26.55kWh | 27kWh system |
| 4 × 9kWh | 36kWh | 35.40kWh | 36kWh system |
| 5 × 9kWh | 45kWh | 44.25kWh | 45kWh system |
| 6 × 9kWh | 54kWh | 53.10kWh | 54kWh system |
Energy capacity and inverter power do different jobs
Battery capacity in kWh describes the energy stored. Inverter power in kW describes the rate at which energy can be supplied. Each 9kWh battery module has a 4.5kW continuous charge/discharge rating. We match the available battery power, inverter output and connected loads in your system design.
Choose an inverter for your property
Choose from nine inverter options in the configurator above. Select a single-phase EHA model for a single-phase supply, or a three-phase ETA model for a three-phase supply.
| Supply | Rated AC output | GoodWe model | Solar MPPTs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single phase | 5kW | GW5K-EHA-G20 | 2 |
| Single phase | 8kW | GW8K-EHA-G20 | 4 |
| Single phase | 9.999kW | GW9.999K-EHA-G20 | 4 |
| Three phase | 5kW | GW5K-ETA-G20 | 3 |
| Three phase | 9.999kW | GW9.999K-ETA-G20 | 4 |
| Three phase | 15kW | GW15K-ETA-G20 | 4 |
| Three phase | 20kW | GW20K-ETA-G20 | 4 |
| Three phase | 25kW | GW25K-ETA-G20 | 4 |
| Three phase | 29.999kW | GW29.999K-ETA-G20 | 4 |
Independent MPPT trackers let the inverter manage separate solar-array sections. The selected inverter determines the solar-input design and available AC output; your battery size determines the stored energy available.

Backup built around the circuits you need
ESA hybrid inverters provide a dedicated backup output and fast changeover. We can plan backup for selected essential circuits or a wider home circuit arrangement, matched to the chosen inverter, battery power and loads.
The 9kWh LFP modules use an IP66 enclosure with integrated heating and aerosol suppression. Their modular design lets the battery system be sized for your home while keeping the inverter and storage together in one GoodWe platform.
Local help from planning to handover
LiFePO4 Australia can help you compare battery sizes, confirm your supply phase and plan the installation. Our standard installation area covers Gold Coast, Greater Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Maryborough, Hervey Bay and Bundaberg, with projects further afield quoted to suit the location.

Frequently asked questions
How do I select the battery capacity?
This product fixes the battery capacity at 36kWh (4 modules). Your inverter remains selectable. For a different battery size, use the 18–54kWh master configurator.
Which inverter should I choose?
Start with your property’s supply phase, then consider the solar array, peak electrical demand and backup circuits. The single-phase range is 5, 8 and 9.999kW; the three-phase range is 5, 9.999, 15, 20, 25 and 29.999kW. Our team can help you select the model for the installation.
What is nominal versus usable capacity?
Nominal capacity is the rated battery energy. Usable capacity is the energy specified for normal operation. Each 9kWh module provides 8.85kWh usable energy, so the two-module system provides 17.70kWh usable and the six-module system provides 53.10kWh usable.
Can the system supply power during a blackout?
The ESA backup output can supply the circuits wired for backup. We plan those circuits around the inverter output, installed battery power and the loads you want to keep operating.
Can it work with my existing solar?
Share the existing inverter model, panel details and switchboard photos with our team. We will confirm the integration design and how your solar generation, battery and backup circuits will work together.
Can I expand the battery later?
The ESA platform is modular. This range offers two to six 9kWh modules in one column. Future expansion is planned around compatible equipment, available space and the electrical installation.
What warranties come with the equipment?
GoodWe provides 10-year limited manufacturer warranties for the ESA inverter and GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 battery. The current Australian battery and inverter warranty documents are linked above.
