Description

CATL 587Ah 3.2V 1.88kWh Energy Storage Cell – CATL Official Coming Soon

The CATL 587Ah cell is a coming-soon large-format 3.2V energy-storage cell shown on CATL Mall, CATL’s direct-sales platform. You may order this cell now, and you can pre pay and as soon as its available we can ship to you anywhere in the world at standard Lithium battery shipping costs. to your country.

Current status: CATL direct-sales platform is showing this as a coming-soon product, not yet as a full orderable product page with a complete public datasheet. We are keeping this as a draft tracking listing until CATL publishes final dimensions, weight, cycle-life, certification and pricing data.

Direct CATL source: The CATL Mall preview identifies the product as 587Ah and shows 587Ah, 3.2V and 1.88kWh.

Why this cell is interesting

A 587Ah cell is much larger than the 280Ah and 314Ah cells commonly used in DIY and small commercial LiFePO4 storage builds. At 3.2V nominal, one cell represents about 1.88kWh of nominal energy. That points toward stationary battery systems where fewer, larger cells can reduce the total number of interconnects in a high-capacity pack.

  • 4 cells in series: about 12.8V and 7.5kWh nominal.
  • 8 cells in series: about 25.6V and 15.0kWh nominal.
  • 16 cells in series: about 51.2V and 30.1kWh nominal.

CATL’s broader grid-storage direction also supports why this product is worth watching. Public coverage of CATL’s TENER stationary energy-storage system describes CATL pushing high-capacity grid storage with a 6.25MWh system and major lifecycle claims. That does not prove this 587Ah cell is the TENER cell; it simply shows the same broader move toward large-format stationary storage.

Best-fit applications

This is not a small accessory cell. It is most relevant to serious stationary energy-storage builds such as large 48V battery banks, containerised storage, commercial and industrial storage, off-grid power rooms, and grid-support projects where the battery design can be engineered around large-format cells.

Final system design should allow for proper cell compression, insulated busbars, suitable BMS and contactor/pre-charge design, fusing, enclosure clearances, temperature monitoring, shipping and lifting requirements, and charge/discharge limits from CATL’s final datasheet.

Availability note

This listing is intentionally left as estimated -price until the CATL product is fully published and landed AUD pricing is confirmed.
