The Sungrow SBH400 40kWh Installed Battery System – SH10T 10kW Three Phase is the flagship high-capacity configuration in Sungrow’s latest generation of high-voltage Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) energy storage. Designed for large residential properties and light commercial applications in Australia, this system provides a robust 40 kWh nominal and usable energy in a single stack.

Product Overview: Sungrow SBH400 40kWh Installed Battery System – SH10T 10kW Three Phase

The SBH series represents a significant leap from the previous SBR range, offering higher power density and faster charging rates. The 40kWh system consists of eight 5kWh modules stacked vertically with a master control accessory kit.1

Key Features

  • High Performance: Supports up to 50A continuous charge and discharge current, with peak power exceeding 25kW (depending on inverter pairing).2

  • Premium Safety: Utilizes Prismatic LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells, the safest chemistry for home energy storage, with an IP55 rating for both indoor and outdoor installation (outdoor requires additional weather shielding)

  • Modular & Scalable: The system is “plug-and-play” with no internal wiring between modules. While this stack provides 40kWh, up to four stacks can be paralleled for a massive 160kWh total capacity.

  • High Voltage Efficiency: Operates at a nominal voltage of 563.2V for the 8-module stack, reducing energy loss during DC-to-AC conversion.

  • Warranty: 10-year full parts and labor warranty

Purchased a Deye inverter from LiFePo4 in June 2026. I am pleased to say that the inverter has been running perfectly with no issues for the last 1½ months. It has been installed into an off-grid system on a very recently built granny flat. This inverter was ideal for our situation and was easy to set up. The 2 trackers were very handy as we needed to deal with 2 different sets of strings operating at 2 different voltages. It certainly looks like a very well designed and robust inverter and will hopefully last us many, many years. If and when we need to replace the inverters on the main house, we will certainly be looking at using Deye.
LiFePo4 provided free delivery, which was very quick, arrived in only a couple of days. They sent me an email checking on how we were going with the installation and offered assistance if we needed it. Excellent Company to deal with and I would purchase from them again in future.

I totally agree with the other 5 star reviews and can highly recommend buying lithium cells from this business. I received my order of 72 automotive MB31 batteries quickly and I am very impressed. All the cells were within 0.01 of a volt so didn’t require balancing or top charging before installing. They are the real deal A+ automotive grade EVE cells as advertised and not B grade rubbish some online sellers are supplying. Mark actually answers the phone if you need to discuss anything before purchasing and is one of the few people I have found selling lithium batteries that actually now’s about how to install and set voltage settings in the BMS’s he sells.
