When it says: “100% unbalanced output; each phase“

it means:

  • Each of the three phases (L1, L2, L3) can have a completely different load — they do not need to be balanced like in traditional three-phase inverters.

  • You can draw 100% of the rated power from just one phase if needed, without causing problems.

In normal older three-phase systems, if the loads on each phase aren’t roughly equal, it can cause faults, inefficiencies, or inverter shutdowns.
But with the Deye hybrid (and a few other advanced hybrids), the inverter intelligently manages the phases individually — allowing highly unbalanced loads without any issue.

Example:
Suppose you have a SUN-29.9 (29.9kW output).
You could technically:

  • Pull 29.9kW just from L1 (while L2 and L3 have almost no load), or

  • Have 10kW on L1, 15kW on L2, and 4.9kW on L3,

  • Or any other combination — the inverter automatically adapts.

Purchased a Deye inverter from LiFePo4 in June 2026. I am pleased to say that the inverter has been running perfectly with no issues for the last 1½ months. It has been installed into an off-grid system on a very recently built granny flat. This inverter was ideal for our situation and was easy to set up. The 2 trackers were very handy as we needed to deal with 2 different sets of strings operating at 2 different voltages. It certainly looks like a very well designed and robust inverter and will hopefully last us many, many years. If and when we need to replace the inverters on the main house, we will certainly be looking at using Deye.
LiFePo4 provided free delivery, which was very quick, arrived in only a couple of days. They sent me an email checking on how we were going with the installation and offered assistance if we needed it. Excellent Company to deal with and I would purchase from them again in future.

I totally agree with the other 5 star reviews and can highly recommend buying lithium cells from this business. I received my order of 72 automotive MB31 batteries quickly and I am very impressed. All the cells were within 0.01 of a volt so didn’t require balancing or top charging before installing. They are the real deal A+ automotive grade EVE cells as advertised and not B grade rubbish some online sellers are supplying. Mark actually answers the phone if you need to discuss anything before purchasing and is one of the few people I have found selling lithium batteries that actually now’s about how to install and set voltage settings in the BMS’s he sells.
