Description
Victron Lynx T-Class Distributor
The Lynx Class-T Power In connects and fuses up to two strings of Lithium batteries. It features a positive and negative busbar, and connections for two Class-T fuses as well as a connection to ground the DC system. The Class T-fuses, available in 225A, 250A, 350A and 400A, must be purchased separately.
For installations using three or more strings of Lithium batteries, use multiple Lynx Class-T modules. As a core component of the Lynx Distribution system, the Lynx Class-T seamlessly integrates with all other M10 Lynx products.
High-Current DC Input with Integrated Class-T Protection
The Victron Lynx Class-T Power In is a heavy-duty DC input module designed to safely connect large battery banks into your system while providing industry-leading Class-T fuse protection at the source.
Built for serious energy storage systems, this unit combines solid copper busbars with a single high-capacity Class-T fuse, making it the ideal entry point for high-current battery connections.
Designed for Battery-to-Busbar Protection
Unlike the Lynx Distributor (which handles multiple outputs), the Class-T Power In is purpose-built to protect the main incoming battery feed.
This is exactly where Class-T protection matters most.
- Protects the primary DC feed from battery to system
- Supports high interrupt capacity required for lithium batteries
- Minimises risk of catastrophic failure during short circuits
For modern LiFePO4 and sodium-ion systems, this level of protection is not optional — it’s critical.
Why Class-T Fusing Matters
Class-T fuses are the gold standard for battery protection due to their:
- Ultra-fast fault clearing
- Very high interrupt ratings (essential for lithium chemistries)
- Ability to safely handle massive fault currents
In high-capacity systems, a standard fuse or breaker may not trip fast enough. The Lynx Class-T Power In ensures your system is protected at the highest-risk point — the battery output.
Clean, Professional System Architecture
As part of the Victron Lynx modular system, this unit integrates seamlessly with:
- Lynx Distributor
- Lynx Power In (standard)
- Lynx Smart BMS
This allows you to build a fully enclosed, scalable DC bus system with consistent layout and minimal cable clutter.
Key advantages:
- Solid copper busbars for low resistance and minimal voltage drop
- Modular expansion as systems grow
- Enclosed, touch-safe design
- Clean, repeatable installs (ideal for teams and large-scale rollout)
Built for High-Current Systems
The Lynx Class-T Power In is engineered for demanding applications:
- Large battery banks (LiFePO4 / sodium-ion)
- High-power hybrid inverter systems (Victron, Deye, etc.)
- Off-grid and backup installations
- Parallel battery configurations
It is especially valuable where fault current levels are extremely high, and proper upstream protection is essential.
Installer Advantages
- Centralised main fuse location
- Cleaner cable routing from battery to busbar
- Reduced install time and complexity
- Easier servicing and fault isolation
This is the difference between a DIY-looking system and a professional, engineered install.
Real-World Importance
Large lithium battery banks can deliver thousands of amps instantly in a fault condition.
Without proper protection at the battery:
- Cables can vaporise
- Equipment can be destroyed
- Fire risk increases significantly
The Lynx Class-T Power In ensures that your system has fast, reliable fault protection exactly where it’s needed most.
Bottom Line
If you’re building a serious battery system, this is your first line of defence.
The Victron Lynx Class-T Power In delivers:
- Critical battery-side protection with Class-T fusing
- High-current, low-loss DC connection
- Clean, modular system integration
