Description
Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can M10
The Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can is the “brain” of a Lynx DC bus—giving you precise battery monitoring, neat system architecture, and plug-and-play integration with Victron GX devices. Designed for 12/24/48 V systems and high-current banks, it measures charge/discharge current and voltage in real time, calculates State-of-Charge (SoC) and time-to-go, and shares that data over VE.Can with your Cerbo GX or other GX displays.
Perfect for larger off-grid, marine, RV and industrial systems where tidy cabling, serviceability, and reliable battery intelligence matter.
Why you’ll love it
Accurate battery monitor built in – Tracks Amps, Volts, Ah consumed, SoC %, and time-to-go so you actually know what’s left in the tank.
Seamless GX integration – Two VE.Can ports for easy connection to Cerbo GX, Color Control GX, Venus GX, etc. Data displays instantly on your GX screen or Remote Console.
Part of the Lynx ecosystem – Clicks together with Lynx Power In and Lynx Distributor modules for a clean, modular DC bus with service-friendly covers and labelling.
High-current ready – Built for serious systems with large inverters/chargers and battery banks.
Tidy, professional install – Heavy copper busbars, protective covers and clear cable routing deliver a safe, workshop-grade finish.
Flexible system voltage – Works across 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V battery systems.
Temperature & voltage sense – Supports battery sense inputs to improve SoC accuracy (ideal with LiFePO₄ or mixed chemistries).
Typical applications
Multi-inverter Victron systems (e.g., MultiPlus/Quattro single- and three-phase)
Large LiFePO₄ banks in homes, RVs, off-grid cabins and boats
DC distribution hubs where monitoring and service access are critical
How it fits together (at a glance)
Battery bank → Lynx Power In → Lynx Shunt VE.Can (battery monitor on the negative side) → Lynx Distributor(s) → Loads/chargers
Connect the Lynx Shunt to your Cerbo GX via VE.Can to visualise SoC, current, and alarms.
Key features & functions
Real-time current and voltage measurement
State-of-Charge calculation with historical logging (via GX)
VE.Can communication (daisy-chainable; terminators required)
Alarm reporting to GX (low SoC, high/low voltage, etc.)
Modular Lynx form factor with protective front cover
What’s in the box
Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can module
VE.Can terminators (typically supplied)
Front cover and mounting hardware
(GX device, VE.Can cable, Lynx Power In/Distributor modules and fuses sold separately.)
Compatibility
Victron GX devices: Cerbo GX, Color Control GX, Venus GX
Victron Lynx modules: Lynx Power In, Lynx Distributor
Works with lead-acid, AGM, GEL, and LiFePO₄ (including third-party BMS-managed banks)
Installer notes (pro tips)
Place the shunt on the battery negative between the bank and the DC bus so all charge and load currents pass through it.
Use appropriately rated DC fusing on the positive side and size cables for peak system current.
Configure battery capacity and charge parameters in the GX for accurate SoC.
Keep VE.Can cabling short and terminated at the ends of the chain.
Quick specs (practical)
System voltage: 12/24/48 V DC
Interface: VE.Can (NMEA2000-compatible)
Function: Battery monitor/shunt within the Lynx modular bus
Use with: Medium to very large Victron DC systems
