The Sungrow SBH 40kW (SBH400) is the flagship high-capacity configuration in Sungrow’s latest generation of high-voltage Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) energy storage. Designed for large residential properties and light commercial applications in Australia, this system provides a robust 40 kWh of usable energy in a single stack.

Product Overview: Sungrow SBH 40kW (SBH400)
The SBH series represents a significant leap from the previous SBR range, offering higher power density and faster charging rates. The 40kW system consists of eight 5kWh modules stacked vertically with a master control accessory kit.1

Modular & Scalable: The system is “plug-and-play” with no internal wiring between modules. While this stack provides 40kWh, up to four stacks can be paralleled for a massive 160kWh total capacity.

These single-phase hybrids are fully compatible.

The SH10RS (10kW) is recommended to ensure you can charge/discharge the 40kWh capacity at a reasonable speed, though you will still be capped by the inverter’s maximum DC-to-AC rating.
Three-Phase Options
Because a 40kWh battery is typically installed on larger properties, three-phase inverters are the standard choice to handle the high power throughput.
