The MultiPlus-II is a multifunctional inverter/charger that combines the features of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid. It’s designed for professional marine, yachting, vehicle, and land-based off-grid applications. Here are the key features:

  1. Inverter/Charger Functionality: The MultiPlus-II provides both inverter and charger functions. It can convert DC power from batteries into AC power for your appliances (inverter mode) and charge your batteries from an AC power source (charger mode).
  2. External Current Sensor Option: The MultiPlus-II includes an external current sensor option, extending the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to either 50A or 100A. This allows precise control over energy flow and load management.
  3. Energy Storage Systems (ESS): The robust MultiPlus-II is a crucial component in a Victron Energy Storage System. Its Dynamic ESS feature automatically switches between or combines grid, battery, and solar energy based on live pricing, predicted energy use, and solar yield. This ensures you’re always consuming the most cost-effective energy.
  4. Uninterrupted AC Power (UPS Function): In case of a grid failure or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the MultiPlus-II’s inverter activates automatically (within 20 milliseconds). This seamless transition ensures that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without disruption.
  5. Remote Monitoring and Control: When paired with a GX device (such as the Cerbo GX), you can monitor and control the MultiPlus-II locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet using the free VRM app and VRM portal website.
